Who is Gazal? Gazal Alagh the Co-Founder of her company `Mama Earth”, her journey from a mother till becoming a very successful entrepreneur is very unusual. Her journey actually started from “parental stress”, when her son Agastya was suffering from a particular skin infection and all the baby products at that time were full of toxins and were much harmful to infants, this problem made her and her husband think differently and then the couple actually started researching on it. On researching they got to know that the majority of the baby products in India used harsh chemicals and many other toxins in order to keep the product fresh for longer days which are totally harmful for infant skin and therefore they came up with a temporary solution. They started requesting their family and friends who all went out of India to bring “toxin free” baby products, just for the betterment of her child.

The couple are also co founders of some unsuccessful start-ups like diet expert.in, Being Artsy etc . But they say good things take time and after the failure of their 2 start-ups they finally planned to invest and grow their 3rd company they started “Mama Earth” in year 2016, they took a very bold step by investing 90 lakh rupees putting in all their savings and with the help of their some of her angel investors. Her main goal was to produce “toxin free” and “harmless” products for infants which could be affordable too. In the beginning the brand was launched with infant products like shampoo, oil, creams, etc and within 5 years the company came up with over 100 products, Mama earth has served more than 5 million customers, and served in more than 500 cities.
Gazal is now one of the most successful entrepreneurs and is among the 10 most famous artists in the country. In year 2018 Mama Earth received the best brand award under her guidance. She has proved that women not only can manage their housework but can also manage their home and can run a successful company at the same time.
